Inno Setup Translations


To download a translation file, right-click a version number and choose Save Target As.

The most recent version of Inno Setup that included translation changes is version 5.1.11, which was released on 2007-03-01.

Starting with version 5.1.0, the Inno Setup compiler will accept a translation even if it's missing messages (it will use the default English messages to replace them) or contains unknown messages. Older versions of Inno Setup will not accept translations with missing or unknown messages and you will need to manually correct the translation if it isn't compatible with your Inno Setup version.

Before you start translating, read the [LangOptions] section and [Messages] section topics in the Inno Setup help file. Also see the Third-Party Files page for some tools that are meant to make translating easier.

If you find any broken links on this page, please use the jrsoftware.innosetup.translations newsgroup to report them. Do not use e-mail!

If you have fixes, comments or suggestions about a particular translation, please contact its maintainer. Only if he or she doesn't reply or doesn't want to include your changes, use the jrsoftware.innosetup.translations newsgroup to discuss this. Do not use e-mail to contact anyone else than the maintainer about this!

Official translations


Official translations are actively maintained and of high quality. You may include any official translation in your installation without worrying about "hidden surprises". Note that official translations come bundled with your Inno Setup installation so there should be no need to download these from this page unless a translation became official recently.

Note that doing this will benefit yourself too: once a number of people have rated a translation as being of high quality, you'll no longer have to download it manually since it will be bundled with the official Inno Setup installer.
